For 23 years. the Asian Initiative in Mental Health, also known as AIM, operated at UHN/Toronto Western Hospital.
AIM provided culturally-safe in-language mental health care for Chinese and Asian patients.
AIM’s over 4500+ patients came from across and beyond the GTA. But AIM was closed last year without consultation or adequate notice.
The Re-AIM coalition is calling on the government to restore AIM and expand culturally and linguistically specific mental health care.
