WHEREAS everyone in Ontario should be able to access financial products that align with their faith, values, and financial needs.
WHEREAS Muslim Ontarians deserve access to trusted and regulated lenders that can administer Halal Mortgages
WE, the undersigned, petition the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as follows: to call on the Government of Ontario to work with the federal government to expand access to alternative financing options from trusted and regulated lenders to include what are known as "Halal Mortgages" enabling cost-plus sale (Murabaha) and partnership (Musharaka) financing models.
