In July, City Council directed city staff to incorporate a gender equity lens into the 2017 budget process, however the proposed budget includes significant service cuts and high increases to user fees for services that women and their families rely on.
A diverse group of women have been organizing to stop the cuts to services and to demand gender equity in the budget process.
