Learning from Communities Around the World

Castro District in San Francisco

Do other cities around the world with strong cultural and heritage communities face the same issues as Toronto when it comes to preserving space while meeting development goals? How do international cities designate protections for cultural spaces?

We partnered with urban policy students at the University of Toronto as part of a class project to learn more about urban policies from cities internationally that focus on preserving and maintaining cultural spaces and heritage, while also maintaining development growth. More information coming in Winter 2022.
